What Is Padel?
Padel combines the best of tennis and squash into a fun, social, and easy-to-learn racket sport. It is played in doubles on an enclosed court where the walls are part of the game, creating longer rallies and fast-paced action.
Do I Need Experience to Play?
No. Beginners are welcome and can start immediately. Padel is easy to learn, and most new players can enjoy a competitive game after just a few sessions.
Do I Need My Own Racket?
No. We offer rental rackets for players who don't have their own, as well as demo rackets for those looking to try different models. If you're ready to purchase one, we also carry a selection of rackets in our pro shop.
How Do I Book a Court?
All court bookings are managed through Playtomic. Download the app, create an account, search for Glassbox Padel, and select your preferred date, time, and court.
Can I Book as a Non-Member?
Yes. Non-members are welcome to book courts at Glassbox Padel through Playtomic. Membership offers additional benefits, but it is not required to play.
How Much Does It Cost to Play Padel?
Court rentals are $60 per hour Monday through Friday before 4:00 PM and $80 per hour after 4:00 PM and on weekends. Since padel is typically played with four players, the cost can be shared among the group.
What Are the Benefits of Membership?
Our All-You-Can-Play Membership gives you unlimited court access for $240 per month, priority booking up to 14 days in advance, and 15% off tournaments, events, and pro shop purchases.
Is Glassbox Easy to Get to From Washington, DC?
Yes. Glassbox Padel Club is the only Metro-accessible padel club in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Take the Green Line or Yellow Line to College Park Metro Station and walk directly across the street to the courts.
Is Parking Available?
Yes. Park for free on College Ave or 50th Ave where the streets immediately surround Glassbox Padel Club. If those spots are taken, park for free at the College Park Station on weekends, or pay a small fee to park at the College Park Station on weekdays.
